AI Governance

Role Introduction

Are you experienced in understanding how AI systems work, identifying the risks that arise from their design, data, models, deployment and use, and translating these risks into practical assessment and mitigation approaches? Do you have a strong background in hazard, accuracy and safety evaluations for software?

At YAGHMA B.V., we are looking for an AI Risk Assessment Specialist to strengthen our work on AI impact assessment, governance, and compliance across both research and industrial projects.

In this role, you will contribute with a deep understanding of both how AI systems operate and how risk assessment works in practice, and how these can be combined to develop meaningful AI risk and impact assessment approaches across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, energy, mobility, and public services. You will work closely with our team to develop and apply practical, structured, and scalable AI risk and impact assessment methodologies, drawing on established risk management approaches and the characteristics of AI systems, and supporting both our research activities and our platform, SurikaS.

Company Overview

At YAGHMA, we assess the non-financial and non-technical impacts of new technologies to help our clients and partners create positive societal impact. We actively participate in European and international research projects and collaborate with public and private organisations working at the forefront of AI and digitalisation.

    • Contribute to aligning assessment approaches with emerging AI governance and regulatory requirements.

  2. Assessment & Advisory Work

    • Perform risk and impact assessments of AI systems using qualitative andquantitative methods;

    • Analyse technical, operational, ethical, social, governance, and compliance risks across different stages of the AI lifecycle;

    • Support assessments in applied contexts, including client-facing and collaborative research environments;

    • Monitor and evaluate risks and impacts of AI systems over time..

  3. Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Prepare clear, well-structured reports on AI risks and impacts for diverse audiences, including project partners, clients, and policymakers;

    • Engage with multidisciplinary and international stakeholders, translating complex risk concepts into actionable insights;

    • Support workshops, discussions, and review processes related to AI governance and risk mitigation.

  4. Research & Knowledge Development
