About this position
Are you a structured and proactive professional with a strong interest in supporting research and innovation projects?
At Yaghma B.V., we are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support the organisation in the coordination and implementation of research and innovation projects as well as organization level administration. In this role, you will support the director and team by assisting with project coordination, administrative tasks, meeting organisation, and the dissemination of project results.
This is a hands-on and versatile position, well suited to someone with around three years of experience in research or innovation projects who enjoys working across different thematic fields, collaborating with diverse international partners, and combining project coordination with communication and organisational support.

To remain at the forefront of research on social, ethical, legal, governance, and environmental aspects of innovation, we actively participate in European and international research projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Compliance
• Support the coordination and day-to-day management of ongoing research projects;
• Organise project meetings (agenda setting, preparation of materials, minutes when required);
• Track action points, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely and high-quality submissions;
• Support technical and financial reporting obligations and liaise with funding bodies when needed;
• Maintain and update internal project management documents and records;
• Support the preparation of assigned project deliverables (e.g. management-related documents);
• Facilitate internal coordination, communication flows, and timely contributions from all project participants.
2. Business Development & Project Acquisition
• Monitor relevant funding opportunities (e.g. EU and national calls);
• Support and/or contribute to the preparation and submission of new grant proposals;
• Assist with consortium building, partner coordination, and budget preparation;
• Prepare administrative documentation required for proposal submissions;
• Network building: identify membership/partnership opportunities and support the application process for membership organisations;
• Participate in networking, brokerage, and matchmaking events.
3. Communication & Dissemination
• Support the implementation of project communication and dissemination plans;
• Coordinate the preparation of communication outputs such as LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and short publications;
• Monitor relevant events in areas such as AI, innovation, sustainability, and research policy;
• Support logistics related to conferences, workshops, and external events.
4. Administrative & Operational Support
• Supervising other admin team member on onboarding of new staff and planning of business trips;
• Ensure all internal admin documents are properly updated and stored (e.g. internal guidelines);
• Maintain internal administrative documents and knowledge repositories;
• Support internal meetings and general organisational tasks as needed.
Profile We Are Looking For
• Around 3 years of experience in research, innovation, or grant-funded projects;
• Experience with EU-funded or collaborative research projects is an asset;
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work across multiple projects and thematic areas;
• Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently;
• Strong written and spoken English (Dutch or other EU languages are a plus);
• Interest in research, innovation, and societal impact.
